The Brief

Tom’s Tiki Boat Tours needed a fun, conversion-focused website that could showcase the experience, answer common customer questions, and make it easy for visitors to book tours. The website had to communicate the relaxed, tropical feeling of the brand while also presenting practical details such as locations, pricing, capacity, gift cards, FAQs, and contact information.

My Approach

I approached the project by building a tourism-focused website centered around the customer journey: discover the experience, understand the tour options, view locations, check FAQs, and book. The design direction used tropical visuals, simple content sections, strong calls to action, and WooCommerce-based product booking pages to support online reservations. Because many customers would visit from mobile devices while planning trips, parties, or vacations, the site needed to be fast, responsive, and easy to use.

Key Features

Two-Location Booking Paths — Barnegat Light and Beach Haven are separated clearly, giving visitors direct routes into the right booking option.

WooCommerce Booking Foundation — Booking and cart functionality support online reservations while keeping the purchase path familiar.

Tour Detail Sections — Capacity, pricing, children’s policy, private tour details and pet-friendly notes are explained in plain language.

Captain and Contact Information — Captain details, marina addresses, phone number and email are placed visibly to build trust and reduce friction.

Gallery-Driven Experience — Photos help sell the atmosphere of the boat tours, giving visitors a better feel for the kind of trip they are booking.

FAQ Support — Common questions have a dedicated place, reducing back-and-forth before someone commits to a reservation.

Mobile-Friendly Booking Flow — The site keeps booking buttons and location information easy to access on mobile, where many tourists are likely browsing.

The Result

The finished site gives Tom’s Tiki Boat Tours a clearer and more useful booking platform.

Visitors can understand the two locations, compare the tour options, read the practical details and book without digging through scattered information. The site still feels playful, but the structure underneath is doing the important work.

That balance was the main win here. It sells the fun, but it also makes the next step obvious.
